Before you proceed to start a new schedule report in QuickBooks, you need to ensure a few things:

The system which you use to send report should be running. It should not be in SLEEP or HIBERNATE mode.

  • Ensure that the User Account Control is turned off.
  • QuickBooks is running on the system.
  • The company file with the schedule report should be open.
  • QuickBooks should be updated to the latest version.
  • The company file should be in Single –User mode.
  • An email is set up in the QuickBooks.

How To Create A New Scheduled Report In QuickBooks?

If you want to create a new scheduled report in QuickBooks then make sure that you need to create an email account to integrate with QuickBooks. Follow the below steps in order to create a new scheduled account in QuickBooks Desktop:

Step 1: Open Schedule Setup

  • Open QuickBooks Reports menu
  • Click Scheduled Reports
  • Choose Schedule Setup

Step 2: Select Reports

  • Choose the report you want to send. You can add multiple reports to sent in the same schedule.
  • When you have selected your reports, click Next.

Step 3: Setup Report Schedule

  • Give a new name to your schedule.
  • Set the frequency when you want to send the report.

  • Click Next to continue.

Step 4: Compose Scheduled Reports E-mail

  • Enter the e-mail where you want to send the report. If you want to send the report to multiple e-mails then use a semicolon to separate them.
  • Assign a password for the attached reports, before you complete the setup. Note: For security reasons, do not enter the password in the subject or body field of the e-mail
  • Click Schedule to finish the process.

Step 5: Compose Scheduled Reports E-mail

  • Choose on the Edit menu and then click on the Preferences
  • Choose Integrated Apps from the left menu and then click on the Company Preferences
  • Put a checkmark on Scheduled Reports and then click Properties.
  • Select both permissions on the Access Rights
  • Choose OK and then select OK.
